I nearly went to teach English in Japan before deciding on doing a PhD shared between the University of Bristol and Bayer in Germany. I realised I wanted to work in the field of renewable energies and was lucky enough to find a good postdoctoral position at the University of Bath. At Bath I enjoyed working in the field of solar cells and looked to continue the work. I saw a good position in Luxembourg and applied…
